Getting Started with Harbor Speech Co.

Start by completing the contact form to briefly share your child’s communication concerns.
This helps determine whether individual therapy, social communication groups, or a parent consultation would be the best starting point.

Every family begins slightly differently depending on their needs.
Initial Assessment Session: Most new therapy clients begin with a 60-minute assessment session.
This visit helps us understand your child’s communication profile, review any previous reports, and develop an individualized therapy plan.
Parent Consultation: If you’re unsure whether therapy is needed, a parent consultation can provide guidance, strategy recommendations, and clear next steps.
Social Communication Groups: Students interested in groups complete a brief screening consultation to ensure appropriate placement.

Following the assessment or consultation, you will receive clear recommendations, which may include:
Individual therapy
Social communication group placement
Short-term support (such as the Summer Communication Intensive)
Monitoring and home strategies
Not every child requires ongoing therapy… the goal is always to provide the right level of support!

Harbor Speech Co. is a private-pay practice. Payment is due at the time of service. Superbills are provided monthly through the secure client portal for families who wish to pursue reimbursement independently. If you have questions about how reimbursement works, we are happy to provide guidance so you can make an informed decision before beginning services.
